Chief Executive Officer
Scott joined Quala in 2017, and brings with him over 15 years of senior leadership experience and 30 years of managing operations. Prior to Quala, Scott held the role of CEO at both Rea Magnet Wire and Azure Dynamics and served as Group President at Hayes Lemmerz. His business success has been achieved by building great teams, focusing on establishing strong relationships with customers, and utilizing his deep operations expertise.
Chief Operations Officer
Joining Quala in 2006, Erik has 15 years of industry experience. Prior to Quala, he held various roles within Quality Distribution including Business Analyst and Director of Central Planning. Erik was part of the team that, along with Mike Bauer, executed the corporate carve out of Quala and implemented the systems and processes necessary for Quala to operate as a stand-alone entity.
Chief Financial Officer
A recent addition to Quala, Harris’s has been in finance for over 30 years in roles of increasing responsibility. He had a long tenure with both Honeywell International and Delphi Automotive.
His most recent role was Chief Financial Officer with The Safariland Group. While in this position at The Safariland Group, Harris acquired seven different companies and nearly doubled revenue. At the same time, his team was also focused on partnering with the Company’s leadership, providing value and service. His experience and expertise will most certainly bring Quala to new heights.
Terry joined Quala in 2009, and brings with him over 22 years of industry experience. Between 1991 and 2008, Terry held various leadership positions within Quality Distribution (a leading provider of Bulk transport Services) including Sr. VP of Operations, Sr. VP of Business Development, and Sr. VP of Sales.
Executive Vice President, Sales & Marketing
Joining Quala in 2017, Eric brings with him over 15 years of sales and marketing leadership experience. Prior to joining Quala, Eric held various roles including Area Sales Director for Waste Management (a world-wide industry leader in Environmental Services) and Director of Sales for The Cintas Corporation (a leading facilities service provider).
President – Rail & Specialty
Mike joined Quala in 2017 with the acquisition of Alpha Technical Services (ATS), the company he founded in 2001. As President and CEO of ATS, Howerton has led the company from startup to a premier market position in rail and specialty cleaning, launched a successful railcar repair operation, and led the construction of their new tank wash facility. Prior to ATS, Mike was Vice President, Technical Services for The GNI Group where he led the company’s government services and industrial cleaning divisions.
Vice President, Human Resources
Paul joined Quala with over 9 years of industry experience. Prior to Quala, Paul was the Human Resources Manager at CEMEX and served as Human Resources Director for Quala, prior to being promoted from within to his current role as VP of Human Resources.
Vice President, Program Management
Vice President, Environmental Health and Safety
Travis has spent the last 38 years in various levels of supervision, management and executive roles in the environmental and safety arena. During that time line, and while working with three different bulk transportation companies, he has also occupied positions in operations and sales. For the last 28 years he has been with tank cleaning and shop operations. He is a native Texan and Houstonian and currently resides in Houston where he holds the position of Vice President, Environmental, Health and Safety for Quala Sustainable Solutions. He is also the current North American NTTC Tank Cleaning Council Chairman and oversees the Safety sub committee for that organization.
Senior Vice President, Operations
Joining Quala in 2009, Jeff brings with him over 30 years of combined experience in the industrial cleaning and transportation industries. Prior to joining the Quala team, Jeff worked as the Regional Operations Manager for Quality Distribution and Senior Logistics Manager for Transportaion Services Inc. He has held several leadership positions within Quala including Area Manager and Regional VP.
Vice President – Information Technology
Joining Quala in 2017, Jason brings over 20 years of Technology leadership experience in a variety of industries including retail, consumer packaged goods manufacturing, and software product development. Before Quala, Jason was responsible for Information Technology at Vogue International, where he led the growth of its technology organization and systems through their successful sale to Johnson & Johnson in 2016. Prior to Vogue, he held various technology leadership roles at Catalina Marketing, Modiv Media, and Stop & Shop Supermarkets/Ahold USA.
Executive VP, Environmental Services
Joining Quala in 2016, John brings with him over 10 years of industry experience and expertise in business development through strategic, acquisition-based growth initiatives. Prior to joining the Quala team, John worked as the VP of Acquisitions and Regional Operations Manager for two of the largest logistics and bulk-liquid transportation service providers in the United States.
Vice President, Quality & Operational Excellence
Joining Quala in January of 2018, Edie has over 20 years of experience almost entirely from the automotive industry. Prior to joining the Quala team, Edie was VP of Quality and Health, Safety & Environmental at Faurecia Automotive Seating, North America. She has held numerous positions in manufacturing including Director of Operations for Wabash National Corporation, Wabash Composites Business Unit and Plant Manager in the Tier 1 automotive supplier space. Edie believes putting people first, focusing on customer satisfaction and executing with a continuous improvement mindset is the key to success.
VP Sales & Marketing – Rail and Specialty
Steve joined Qual in 2017 with the acquisition of Alpha Technical Services (ATS). He joined ATS in June 2015 with as 31 years of experience in sales, transportation maintenance, regulatory compliance, hazmat & emergency response and business management and supply chain activities. Prior to joining ATS Steve work for E.I. DuPont, where he managed a global fleet of ISO’s, cargo & portable tanks, and rail cars. Other responsibilities included supplier audits and compliance, emergency response management, and all regulatory affairs for all modes of transportation.
